Every successful extrusion begins with precision tooling. At Orazen Extruded Polymers (OEP), we design and manufacture our tooling in-house, giving us complete control over quality, consistency, and lead time—starting at the very first step.
The OEP Tooling Advantage
High-quality, repeatable products demand high-quality tooling. That’s why OEP has invested in advanced, in-house tooling capabilities.
Complete In-House Tooling Control
All extrusion dies, splicing tools, and heat transfer molds are engineered and manufactured internally.
Precision Wire EDM Machining
Tooling is produced using our Sodick wire EDM, allowing us to hold tight tolerances and achieve consistent material flow
Exact Tool Replication
Tooling designs are maintained so worn or damaged tools can be recreated precisely, ensuring consistent results across repeat production runs.

Advanced Die Engineering & Design
Our die engineering process starts in CAD, where profiles are carefully designed, reviewed, and optimized for performance and manufacturability.
Supported Design Platforms:
AutoCAD®
AutoSketch®
Pro/ENGINEER®
Other compatible drawing formats
EDM Programming: BobWIRE® software for precision wire EDM tool generation
This seamless digital workflow allows OEP to move quickly from concept to production while minimizing variables.

Once designs are finalized, tooling is manufactured using precision EDM machining, ensuring:
Tight dimensional tolerances
Uniform material flow
Reliable, repeatable extrusion performance
By controlling die engineering and tooling production internally, OEP builds quality into the process—before production ever begins.

Our in-house tooling capabilities allow OEP to deliver:
Shorter tooling and production lead times
Rapid turnaround for custom profiles
Efficient support for both standard components and one-off designs
This means faster project launches and dependable scheduling for our customers.

At OEP, quality isn’t just inspected, it’s engineered—starting with the tooling itself. In rubber and plastic extrusion, die precision directly determines profile geometry, wall uniformity, and surface quality. When the tooling is right, the product is right.
Our tooling and production quality controls include:
Die and profile inspection at first article and throughout production runs
Calibrated tools for durometer, wall thickness, cross-section geometry, and surface finish
Retained first-article and production samples tied to specific tool revisions and compounds
These controls ensure that every rubber and plastic profile leaving OEP meets its approved dimensional, material, and performance specifications—every time.
Retained QC samples provide a physical benchmark tied to each tool revision, compound, and approved profile—ensuring:
Re-orders match the original approved extrusion in geometry, durometer, and appearance
Tool wear or compound changes can be identified and corrected before they affect production quality
This commitment gives customers confidence that their rubber and plastic extrusions—whether EPDM gaskets, silicone seals, or PVC profiles—will remain dimensionally and materially consistent, run after run.

OEP’s ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects a quality management system purpose-built for precision rubber and plastic extrusion. From tooling design through final shipment, every stage of our process is documented, controlled, and traceable—so customers receive consistent product backed by a certified, audited system.
Our ISO-registered quality system covers:
Tooling design and revision control—ensuring die changes are documented and approved before production
Raw material traceability for rubber compounds, plastics, and additives
In-process and final inspection records tied to each production lot
Corrective action processes that drive continuous improvement across tooling and extrusion operations
For customers in the architectural, industrial, and OEM markets, OEP’s ISO certification is more than just a credential framework; it enables reliable, repeatable extrusion at scale.
